The Doorstep Work in the Community is a crucial service in enabling IBA to remain fully connected in the community. Through the Doorstep and Outreach Work we stay in regular contact with some of most vulnerable groups in the community to ensure that they do not miss out on services and that they have access to support, resources and advice around a range of issues.
Our project workers and volunteers make regular doorstep and home visits to;
- Offer support and advice on community issues, availability of local services and how to access these.
- Provide details of local activities through home visiting and groups.
- Offer a listening ear.
- Meet people face to face at home giving befriending support.
